In September 2018, concert performer Evelina De Lain played the piano at the top of the Shingo La , a Zanskar pass located at 5091 m above sea level. Thanks to the road, now accessible by 4WD vehicles, a piano was transported so that the Ukrainian-born pianist could play some of her own compositions as well as Chopin. This concert is considered to be the highest classical music concert in history. Its objective was to raise funds for an association that helps patients with cystic fibrosis.
