On the occasion of the Nuit des Musées 2018 and more precisely at the Ethnographic Museum of Geneva (MEG), two members of AaZ France were invited to conduct a sand Mandala workshop. Edith and Bernard who came from neighboring France, had also brought ritual objects, that were displayed in a corner of the room, and two slideshows of their photos of the Zanskar were projected continuously on a large screen to enhance the atmosphere.

Many curious visitors took turns between 18h and 23h in the room which could accommodate only 16 people at a time so that everyone could work in good conditions. Adults and children were introduced to the art of sand mandala, inspired by Tibetan Buddhist rituals and participated in the creation of a secular and collective mandala.

It was a very successful evening with a warm welcome from the museum staff. Many thanks to Nora for her invitation and to Adriana for her assistance.
